The fast-paced sport of Bobsleigh involves teams of either two or four sliding down an iced track in a steerable sledge called a bobsleigh. At the start of the race, the team members push the bob while running, jumping into the sled as it passes the start line and steering it down the gravity-assisted, twisting track. There are 3 varieties, the 2-man bobsleigh, the 4-man bobsleigh, and the women’s bobsleigh (2 per team). The teams have 4 runs on the track, and the combined times decide the results.
